JOIN US FOR a time of fellowship as we share pre-loved clothes and afternoon tea together

Come along to our annual clothing swap! This is an opportunity to give your used, pre-loved clothes a second life, reduce textile waste, and to freshen up your wardrobe too.

After popular demand from our last event, we’re also providing some flower paper craft activities during the event as well.

Time: 2 pm - 4 pm

Cost: Free! But please bring along on the day:

your own cup or mug
a reusable shopping bag for your new pre-loved clothes

what is a clothing swap?

A clothing swap is a thrifty and environmentally friendly way freshen up your wardrobe, save money and help fight textile waste.

It’s a great way to give your pre-loved clothes a second life, with any remaining clothes donated to those within our community in need.

WHAT CLOTHES CAN I DONATE?

You are welcome to bring along up to twenty (20) items of clothing that are in excellent condition that you no longer need or wear. Please bring these items to GCC on the allocated Sundays prior to the event (17 or 24 August 2025).

Clothes brought for donation must be clean, free of any holes, rips, stains or faults (e.g. broken zippers, pilling or fraying items, noticeably worn out items). Only bring items you would give to a member of your family or a friend!

Please do not bring any of the following items (for hygiene purposes):

Underwear, socks, hosiery and swimwear
Sportswear and activewear
Earrings and wigs

If you have more than 20 items that you would like to donate, please see Amanda or Charis before bringing the items.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN’S CLOTHING?

This year we’re including children’s clothing to share with others!

However, we kindly ask that you follow the above instructions under, “What clothes can I donate?”

WHAT HAPPENS TO ANY LEFTOVER CLOTHES?

Any leftover clothing will be donated to a local charity or to those in need in our community.

DO I HAVE TO BRING CLOTHES TO PARTICIPATE?

No - everyone is welcome to come along!

CAN I INVITE SOMEONE TO THE EVENT?

Absolutely!
